Snuffy interviewed for TV Academy Archives
On April 10, a film crew interviewed Snuffy for the prestigious Archive of American Television at his Woodland Hills recording studio. The interview was conducted by Stephen J. Abramson and spanned Snuffy's entire life and career, including how he got his nickname, how he got his start in the business, as well as personal advice to aspiring composers. Only the eighteenth composer to be included in this larger volume of over 500 interviews, Snuffy is honored to be in the company of some of his heroes and true pioneers in the business.

The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Foundation's Archive of American Television produces extensive video oral history interviews with television legends of all professions and makes them available free online.

NBC network up-fronts announced
This month, NBC announced a return of both shows for which Snuffy scores for the network, "Friday Night Lights" and "Lipstick Jungle." In a new business model, DirecTV and NBC have inked a deal to air new episodes of "Friday Night Lights" in the fall on DirecTV's channel 101. The same episodes will premiere on NBC after the Super Bowl next year. This will mark the third season for "Friday Night Lights" which Snuffy co-composes with Bennett Salvay. "Lipstick Jungle," based on the best-selling book by Candace Bushnell (Sex and the City), premiered in February.

"In Plain Sight" premieres Sunday, June 8, 10/9c
Listen for Snuffy's score on "In Plain Sight," the new USA Network series, when it premieres on June 8. The crime drama stars Mary McCormack as a U.S. Marshal attached to the highly secretive Federal Witness Protection Program.

An old review from Snuffy's Stray Dog era surfaced when Peter Makowski reconnected with Snuffy recently for an interview for Classic Rock Magazine (UK publication). The Stray Dog article was featured in the July 2004 issue.

JULY, 2007
Emmy Nomination
The Academy of the Television Arts & Sciences announced on July 19 their Primetime Emmy Award Nominations. Snuffy is honored to be amongst the nominees for Outstanding Music Composition For A Series (Dramatic Underscore) for "Kidnapped," marking his twelfth nomination. The Creative Arts ceremony will take place on Saturday, September 8, at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.

JUNE, 2007
Snuffy on new blues CD release

On June 26th, "What A Life" the debut CD by the L.A. Blues Alliance was released on Baby Ree Recordings and will be distributed by Fontana/Universal. The 15-track release was produced by Mike Post and features original and standard blues recordings with Snuffy on acoustic and electric guitar. Other members of the project are: Sonny Landreth (vocals, guitars); Keb' Mo' (vocals, guitar, mandolin); Stanley Behrens (vocals, harmonica, tenor saxophone); David Morgan (vocals, piano, electric piano, background vocals); Mike Finnigan (vocals, piano, Hammond B3 organ, background vocals); Amy Keys (vocals, background vocals); Bob Glaub (bass guitar, percussion); John "JR" Robinson (drums, percussion).

Network up-fronts announced

In this month's network up-fronts, NBC announced a return of the freshman drama "Friday Night Lights." The critically acclaimed series, based on the book and movie of the same name, will move to Friday nights in the new Fall line-up at 9/8c. "Friday Night Lights" will continue to feature Snuffy's original main title and score with co-composer Bennett Salvay.

Snuffy will also be composing the Pilot, theme and series music for the new USA series "In Plain Sight" starring Mary McCormack and Lesley Ann Warren that will be airing mid-season.

Pilot season wraps
Snuffy and staff have wrapped another busy pilot season, contributing to the developing "Heartland" (USA), "Lipstick Jungle" (NBC), "Suspect" (ABC), "Reaper" (CW), "Women's Murder Club" (ABC), and additional work on the ongoing drama series project for internet distribution, "Quarter Life," with producers Ed Zwick and Marshall Herskovitz.

L.A. Blues Alliance at HOB Sunset Strip

Since the completion of their blues album last year, the Mike Post produced project and band is jamming together once again and calling themselves the "L.A. Blues Alliance." On April 18, they promoted the upcoming CD release at House of Blues Sunset Strip.
